Sephora and MAC counters became her world at the age of 17. Although her parents never allowed her to wear makeup, that didn't stop her.

She instead did makeup on her friends for prom in high school because she loved doing the art of makeup on others.

"I love how I make people feel after I do their makeup, I make sure they’re comfortable and feel beautiful with makeup", Arbella said.

One of Arbella's friend's mother is a hairstylist and noticed her work. She then wanted her to work with her doing bridal makeup.

"I have only done makeup for about a year and I was doing bridal makeup, which is really rare. I loved doing it," Arbella said.

As her clientele and exposure grew in the makeup business, Arbella got the best message on Instagram that would change her life forever.

One of her favorite celebrity makeup artists, Janice Daoud, contacted her asking if she can assist in a makeup photo shoot.

This was Arbella's proudest moment and she felt on top of the world. "My mind was blown, I was screaming and couldn't believe she contacted me," Arbella said.

“Arbella has come a long way, I’m very proud of her stepping out of her bubble and finding her inner artist,” Janice said.

She loved Janice Daoud, she even read articles on the internet about her favorite kind of snacks.

"I was obsessed with this makeup artist, I knew what kind of coffee she drank and what she liked to eat for snacks," Arbella said.

One of Arbella's favorite makeup artists became a huge role model and mentor in her life. She helped her get a job at NARS cosmetics and after a couple years, she became a full-time makeup artist booming in the industry.

As she gained more experience each day, Arbella received an offer for a life-changing moment she will never forget.

Janice invited her to work the craziest week in the beauty industry, New York Fashion Week.

"I loved working in a fast-paced environment. Working backstage was a dream come true, I was around fashion designers and celebrities watching the show," Arbella said.

Besides being a Public Relations student at San Jose State, Arbella is still taking on makeup gigs on the side.

"Now I’m in the Bay Area doing bridal makeup and special event makeup all over the bay. It’s been great and I’m glad I found my passion," Arbella said.
