From wearing makeup as a teenager, I have always loved the brand Benefit Cosmetics. My dream job that I plan to go into is public relations and work for a company I have passion for. I found a job titled, Global PR and Communications Coordinator for Benefit Cosmetics. It interested me because if I could be apart of makeup PR packages and potentially be in charge of new launches. I seek mostly a balance between salary and satisfaction. I would love to be happy and be comfortable in the future to come. In the job description, it states that you would support and coordinate many conferences and events. Which could potentially mean I could travel for work. I want to have a career in public relations; this industry is growing exponentially. If I could help a company, I love and feel passionate for it will be such an excellent job for a living. This job can get me closer to my satisfaction in a career for the rest of my life; this is job is the end goal of where I want to be. But...

Although the 2020 election seems real far from now, many candidates are starting to announce and campaign to win the presidency. Former Vice President Joe Biden is running for president in the next year. Many media outlets have been covering what his chances are up against Donald Trump and if he is the best candidate to do so. After news broke out on Thursday, April 25th when Joe Biden launched his campaign and announcement to the world. In the Mercury, the newspaper did a piece with the headline "Joe Biden has the best chance to beat Trump 2020" in a 13 paragraph article in the Other Views section. With statistics from the national polls, it shows that he has the majority of support against all of the other Democratic candidates. The article also explained exactly in detail of what his announcement video entailed, and in the end, the editor was giving their opinion on what Joe Biden should do to win. Loud stomps from the women’s sandals against the marble floor, Echos from above each level in the MLK library. Everyone’s eyes glued to their phones with their airpods tuning out everyone around them. SJSU workers and police talk amongst each other with smiles on their faces. “Walking home from the library at night scares me, even though I live right next to the library,” sophomore, Janessa Freeman says “There are always homeless people asking me for money.” Janessa lives less than a block to the SJSU library at an off-campus luxury apartment with other students. “I study better here at the library because of the amazing views on the 8th floor.” Janessa Freemans says. The Martin Luther King library is open to the public and SJSU students all day long. Record-breaking top artist Cardi B will speak at the San Jose State University commencement on May 20th.  From being a stripper to now being one of the hottest singers in the world, Cardi B can tell a thing or two to the graduating seniors.  "SJSU is thrilled to have such a vibrant speaker for the commencement this year," says SJSU's President Mary  Papazian. Even though she never went to college, she does still have a dream of going to college someday to become a History teacher.  Journalism Professor, Dan White says "I think I've heard a song from her but when the story broke out all the students in my class were so excited that some even cried!" In the loud and busy downtown San Jose, there is a statue that represents how the Japanese lived before and after World War II.  The artist Ruth Asawa made one statue with two sides shows the phases of an average Japanese living before and after the war.  On one side of the sculpture, we see a lot of Japanese immigrating to the West Coast adapting to farm life and agriculture.  A group of Immigrants getting off of the boat looking into a whole new world.  Farmers picking fresh apples off of the trees and place them in the market.  The vast vineyards and hills add to the beauty of the California land. Alexander Horn, a magician that not only wants us to know the history of magic but the deep dark secrets it holds.  "When you think of magicians, it's mustaches, rabbit but it's not that."
